Can a person who plans to file a law suit against you and probably will win or we will settle, file a les pendens lien against your home and prevent any sale?

Maybe... depends on where this is.. and who you owe. A bit more info would be helpful.

I am in Oregon. If a person files a law suit against me involving a piece of property can they file a les pendens on a different piece of property I own with the anticipation that they will be getting a judgment against me.

No. It's "lis pendens", with an "I", not an "e". But the lis pendens can only be filed on the property which is in controversy in the lawsuit. If they file on any other property, and it impairs your ability to sell or mortgage that property, the can be held to be liable to you.
