My wife and I are doing a partnership for a used car lot in Pennsylvania. We have much of the paperwork for licensing and all that laid out. We did run into a slight snag when we went to the bank to open our business account. We needed our EIN number (which we have) but they also wanted our Partnership Agreement.

Nowhere else have I seen any mention of a partnership agreement on any of the forms... seems only the bank cares about this.

I am told we should go to a lawyer to have one drawn up for us. I searched online and there are plenty of places that have legal documents. You fill in the questionnaire with the important information and then the website organizes it into their form. You print this out and have your "legal" document.

Does anyone know if this will be sufficient for the bank to use?

If they are valid for your state then yes they would be valid for the bank.
