I have noticed a large, light green spot on the front of my tampon towards the end of my last 2 menstruation periods. The blood absorbs around the spot. I have no pain or any other symptoms and my period is otherwise normal and regular. I am 40 and had my first child 1 year ago (not sure if this is relevant) and am only sexually active with my husband.

I just want an idea of whether this might be a common occurrence and quite normal where you can say oh yes, that is ***, or whether it might be an unknown infection that needs to be checked out by my gynaecologist.

Did you ever diagnose the green spot on your tampon. I ve recently had the same thing, went to my gyno and are anxiously awaiting the test results. The did a regular culture and one for high risk HPV. Im nervous…any thoughts are helpful.
