My husband and 2kids are going to punta cana for 1 week. My children and I are part of that wedding. My husband abandoned us for 2 weeks and now he's not coming. I have my brides maid dress along with flower girl dress. He doesn't pick up the phone nor reply to my texts. Now its June 3 please what can I do?

Is the wedding to take place in a different country? Which country are you in?

Different contries' laws vary, but in the U.S. children generally cannot acquire passports without the consent of both parents. Is that the problem here? Do the children have passports?

Is the emergency because you are afraid they will not let you travel as a single parent without the father's permission? If so, you do have a problem.

I'm assuming the wedding is either your side of the family or your friend. So there is no appealing to his family to help.

The best suggestion I can give you is to appeal to his parents to get him to sign a consent to travel for their grandkids sake. The only other recourse you have is to go to court to compel him to sign and I'm not even sure how viable that is.

I will assume, though, that you have gotten passports for the children already. Its way too late to get them otherwise. If you have the passports, he had to sign them, so you may not have a problem even if he isn't with you.
