The scene goes like this. This guy captures another guy under an overpass in city, but it's a remote location so no one else is there. He holds him at gunpoint and is trying to get him to tell him something important about money, where a hostage is, or something like that. The guy refuses to answer so he makes him get into trunk of car. He then smashes car backwards into concrete wall. He also repeatedly smashes side rear of car into wall. Guy in trunk is screaming and finally decides to tell him the info he wants. I think guy driving car has someone else with him & is also a big tough-guy star like Eastwood, DeNiro, Willis, Costner, Burt Reynolds or someone like that. I've talked to at least 10 people who remember seeing this scene in a movie, but they can't remember the movie either, so it's a fairly good popular flick.

I kept thinking about this one. Let's try it:
Point Blank (1967)
Starring Lee Marvin, Angie inson
Wikipedia synopsis excerpt:
Walker is told that a car dealer named Stegman (Michael Strong) might know where Reese can be found. He takes Stegman for a wild ride in one of his new cars, smashing the car and terrorizing him until Stegman reveals where Reese is living. He is told that Reese has now taken up with Walker's sister-in-law, Chris.

It's been ages since I've seen this. I can't remember if he puts the man in the trunk or not. I'll see if I can find verification.
EDIT: *sigh* This isn't it either. In the trailer, you can see that he has him in the car as he's wrecking it.

I guess I wasn't recalling it clearly.
