My 76 yr old father had cancer in his kidney, so the hospital removed his kidney via a laproscopy operation 4 weeks ago. After surgery, my father did not take any of the pain medications prescribed to him because he said he did not need them. So, my questions is this: Is it normal to have diarrhea after having your kidney removed? And if so, for how long? And what can my father take to help remedy his diarrhea?

Any advice you can give me would be appreciated
