There's this guy in my grade who's being a complete jerk right now. We went out last year, but only for a little while, then I wasn't interested anymore. He just broke up with one of my good friends (let's call her Jen) but he's been going like back and forth between girls. He says he likes one girl, then says he likes a different girl, and on and on. He's actually really nice when he's not being dramatic, but last night he said that he made mistakes and that he really liked me all along. He texted me all this lovey-dovey stuff, and even though I knew he would probably get over me I couldn't help but start to like him again. Then all day today he flirted and stuff, but then said things along the lines of "oh yeah, I think i might like Jen again." And the night before he was telling me all this stuff about how he liked me and how he promised he liked no one else. Then he was just acting like a jerk for the rest of the day, and now he's asking to be friends. How do I get him to stop acting like a jerk , because it's confusing/hurting my feelings and I don't want to deal with all is drama.

I was personally overwhelmed by all the drama. You can't make anybody do or be anything. Ignore him and let him be a jerk. (How old are you guys? ***ADDED*** middle school -- that makes sense.)

It's hard to ignore though, and he knew I kind of liked him and I just don't know what to do about it.

There is NOTHING you can do except ignore him.

You ignore him. He will get the message. You keep listening and communication, he keeps playing you.
