Every time I run the dishwasher it smells of rotten eggs. I live in an apartment, should I call the maintenance crew or is it something I can do on my own? I stopped using the dishwasher and started hand washing dishes because the smell is so foul.

How often do you clean it, I will assume you clean the filter or trap.

How often do you either buy those packs to clean it, or run some breach though it.
