I am looking for the complete lyrics to a song I partially remember from childhood. The tune has been in my head for the past fifty years but I can only remember a few lyrics. The song is sung as if by the crocodile from the story Peter Pan. It starts, "I'm a lonesome crocodile, almost completely without fear; sometimes I get so lonely, I could cry big Crocodile tears." It then goes on to tell that he had swallowed an eight-day clock. The next line I recall is, "I feel like a watch on a wrist, I wish this old clock would desist; there's a part of my heart that stings, whenever the chime on that eitght-day clock chimes; oh, whenever that eight-day clock rings." In my head, I hear a baritone voice singing the song. I think that it may have been on an album of children's songs. Alas, I don't recall the song's title nor it's artist. I have been searching for years in flea markets, yard sales, junk shops etc. and occasionlally recently on line until frustration sets in. Please help me with the lyrics or maybe even a copy of the recording. Thanks--Paul
