Family friend moved in found out it just not going to work he's not on lease but I am and want him to move. Doesn't keep room clean nor does he clean up after his dog. Can I also charge him a cleaning fee?

Who arranged for this roommate? If you did, then he is your tenant and you are his landlord. If your landlord arranged for him, then you have to go through them.

If he is not covered by a lease, he is a periodic (month to month) tenant. So you have to give him the amount of notice required by local law (ANY question on law needs to include your general locale as laws vary by area.)

Just found your other thread and merged them. Please don't start multiple threads over the same issue. If you need to add more info, respond to the thread.

So, reading both posts, it seems clear that he is your tenant, but that you have no written lease with him. So yes you still need to give him legal notice.
