I just had an upper GI which showed the above problems, not I am having an edoscopy... what are the Drs. Looking for. Should I be scared.

I just had an upper GI which showed inflammation and infection of the esophagus plus reflux the Dr. wants do an endoscopy immeidately ..what are the Drs. looking for. Should I be scared. I have had right quandrat pain under the breast and hoaresess on occasions.

Most of us are concerned until we get results of any medical tests of this type. Just assume at this point that they are looking for better detail than the upper GI showed. Sounds like normal diagnostic procedures to me just based on some experiences I have had with some similar problems recently. Speculating about possible causes won't change anything.
