This is my first time living in a home with a heat pump, so I'm still getting acquainted with how they work. Now that it's getting hot and humid outside, I tried turning the AC on, but it doesn't seem to be putting out cool air, only sometimes is the air slightly cool. The temperature, according to the thermostat, has not gone down, and at times has even gone up slightly. I understand that heat pumps work differently than other units, but how long should it take before my place cools a bit? I plan on contacting management, but I want to make sure I am doing things right before calling them out here. Thanks!
