So about a year ago I started getting these urinary tract infections regularly (started off being once every couple of months or so, then got slowly worse and now up to one every couple of weeks). At first pain only seemed to come if I was sat for a prolonged amount of time - used to feel like a burning/itching ache. I went to the Drs I don't know how many times but they just kept prescribing me more and more antibiotics despite the fact that they would only stop it for a couple of weeks. But the pain of it started getting slowly worse and has ended up that I have the pain every single day, which seems to be worsened by physical movement. One doctor prescribed cocodamol for me but they have stopped having an effect on it now. There have been many times when I've woken up in the night literally almost screaming with the pain of it and I've had to go home sick from work sometimes because I've been shaking and sweating and nearly crying from the pain.
I have had blood tests which showed nothing and a recent examination when the Dr said that he suspects I may have some sort of infection in my womb. But he now says that it just looks like I have very bad thrush, but having been 'diagnosed' incorrectly so many times now I'm not sure what to think. Can thrush cause so much pain? I'm scared it's something worse and them not finding out what it is for so long will be doing more damage, I feel it's getting worse and worse where it's now to the point that sex hurts and it's affecting my relationship.
I'm sorry for the essay but I'm only 19 and I'm scared, I just want to know what's wrong with me and don't know what else to try any more. If anyone has any suggestions at all, they would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
