I think I blew my craftsman LT1000 18hp entek plus engine (31H777 0202-E1). It doesn't make sense to replace it new for $699. Is it worth repairing? Also, I found a used 31D777 0193-E1 from a Murray tractor. Will this interchange easily??

Your crank should match, but the charging system may not. Looks like a short block is #697762.
