I have XP Pro on both my desk computer and my Toshiba Tecra laptop. The shutdown dialog boxes are not the same. I like the one on my desk computer which says:
"Shutdown Windows"... "What do you want the computer to do?" The laptop dialog says"
"Turn off computer" and show 3 icons. Both computers have Google and Yahoo toolbars and are connected by a wired router. I am trying to figure out how to install the same dialog box from the desk computer to the laptop.

OK you need to stop using theWelcome screen and acivate secure logon.
Start > Control Panel > User Accounts > Advanced tab > Check "require users to press Ctrl+Alt+Delete.
Job done you'll now have the drop downs instead of the three buttons.

While I did not find an Advance Tab or anything about CTRL-ALT-DELETE, I did find a check box with a check in it next to the option of using the Welcome Screen. So by removing the check, I now have the dialog box I wanted on my laptop. You saved me a lot of time! Thanks, Ken.
