First, ANY question on law needs to include your general locale as laws vary by area. Second, what is the case about? Custody, support visitation, CPS what?

Every court may use these conferences differently. Generally, the are done with a mediator who tries to get all the parties to agree instead of going before a judge.

Can you explain a little more clearly what is actually happening? Is this a conference with a court appointed person or is this at a lawyers office? You mention the child being taken away. Was this by CPS or some other agency or was this a loss during a custody battle with an ex?

If you lost your child to social services what conditions were this under?

... this lawyer didn,t even put in an order so that my son can not be taken out of the country, ...

Did you ask him to? Normally, one parent is not able to take a child out of the country without the other parent's consent. The child cannot get a passport, for one thing. But if if the child was removed from the country, such an order probably would not have stopped it anyway.
