Ok so I think I may be pregnant. I am 23 and am on Birth control (Implanon) have been on it since January of 2010. I got back to a normal period 6 months after getting it in and its been right on time with my period tracker on my cell. April 3rd was my ovulation date and I had unprotected sex, after 2 months of being on BC my boyfriend and I have always had unprotected sex. Exactly 2 weeks later I began spotting, I thought this was my period, I thought I was just having a light day mine are usually a decent flow. My period always last 5 days, this lasted 9 days. According to my period tracker my period was suppose to start May 15. Also the last week and half maybe 2 weeks I have had sharp pains in the lower abdomen, kind of where the top of my bladder is, sharp piercing pain that makes you stop and hunch forward in pain it lasts about a minute a little less. It might help for me to mention that I have had a light brown discharge with sometimes a little pink in it, also a smell has become stronger then the norm. I took a pregnancy test on Saturday (the 19th) and it was negative, came up very fast too. I know that was too early. Please someone help me. I should say I have been under stress lately, my boyfriend left me end of last month ( I don't want to tell him until I know for sure and have proof), I got 2 D's in college, I looking for a job and getting the run around, I am fixing my car, I owe money to people, and have collectors after me, plus school starts in 2 weeks. I have been calm and level headed about most everything every now and then I cay but over all the last 2-3 weeks I have been fine. I don't think stress is stopping my period.

Repeat test and consult with primary care physician. You ARE under stress and stress very much CAN delay periods.
