Look on the welder and see what the Amp draw is for the machine. A standard 120 volt home outlet can be wired with number 14 wire good for 15 amps or number 12 wire which is good for 20 amps. Find out which breaker in the electric panel controls the outlet you want to use then see what the rating is on the circuit breaker serving the circuit you want to use. Subtract the welder draw from the circuit breaker rating you want to use and that will tell the story with no guess work. This is if the original electric installer of the circuit you want to use followed the NEC (National Electric Code). Good luck with your welding.
