My sons father wants our son six monthsout of the year just so he doesn't have to pay child support! So now he is fighting me in court to get him for 6 months. Is that true he wouldn't have to pay child support since he will have him for 6 months?

It will depend on the state but it does not mean that there will be no support, but who pays and how much changes. In GA for example, the person with the higher income ( you or him,) who ever has the highest would still have a amount to pay, but it will not be near as much as a parent just with visits.

I will give you an example, when I had visits only, I was paying about 600 dollars a month, but after I got 50/50 custody, I was paying 75 dollars a month. Latter she got a better job and she had to pay me 40 dollars a month ( if I remember right)
