I work for a screenprinting company and have been researching methods to print on our shirts BEFORE we dye them. So far, the dye washes out the prints (made with waterbased inks). Is there some sort of chemical that will bond with the hydroxyl groups of the cotton fiber and block the dye from bonding? We could print this chemical onto the shirt before printing the color inks.
There is a company that has developed a method to do this but there is no information on how to do it. This is their website detailing how it works.
