Does this motor require a capacitor?

If it's the correct capacitor and working, I would verify it spins free.
Intake or exhaust blocked?

Seeing this one a lot lately
Check outdoor coil is it clean?
Check voltage at contactor and across contactor when running are you getting same voltage?
Frayed wires etc. loose connections?
Fan blade good - not cracked shaft in same place relative to old.
Same hp and rpm
Once eliminated all of this you may have to step up to a higher hp even a 1/2
The motor is cutting out on its own internal heat overload

When the fan runs momentarily, is it blowing out the top, if it is sucking in, Motor may have a pair of wires that will change motor direction if swapped.
"what do u mean by intake and exhaust is blocked?" I was momentarily thinking Air Handler, my mistake,
If the coils are dirty, it would restrict flow, increasing current.
