My son is currently going through a nasty divorce. She lost custody due to exposing herself on the internet. Files we extracted from my sons laptop as proof and presented to the court which have now been sealed.
Now she is sueung both of my sons for invasion of privacy and her attorney wants to go through the laptop. Her grandmother has discovered this also so she is on my sons side and now future ex is wanting damages from my sons.
This has been brought before a court in our town and they said my son did not have to give up his laptop. There is a lot to this case as another former daughter in law wants to make our lives miserable so she is not helping matters. Need help soon. Thanks

The laptop belongs to both of them? If your son is co-owner of the laptop, I seriously doubt if any court will conclude that this was an invasion of her provacy.

But I also find it hard to see how posting revealing pictures of herself on the Internet could be considered to be relevant as to custody. The children were not involved, were they?

Yes to be honest I don't see how posting naked photos of herself on the internet made her lose custody. ** Why morally wrong to many people, this from a legal standpoint has little to do with her care for the kids

Also objecting to how the photos were found would be done when they photos were trying to be put into evidence. Not after that case closed.

Next not sure what "invasion of privacy" she has to show she lost money or something, not the custody, to have anything to win

And if the court ( same court, same case ) ruled they do not have to turn over their lap top, then they don't turn over their lap top, they would be stupid to give it, if they are not ordered by the court.
