I am on f1 till dec 2005. OPT started from dec 1st 2005 - dec 1st 2006.

My status is single.now how my question is

1. now I have itemized deductions: 5150-00 & exemption deductions:3300-00

Can I cliam this amount ?

$5,150 is the STANDARD Deduction, not the itemized deduction.

If you are an Indian citizen, you CAN claim the standard deduction under the India-U.S. Income Tax Treaty.

You get to claim the $3,300 personal exemption regardless of your home country.
