Depending on when you did this and when you got your nails done, you might be able just to go back to the salon and explain the situation to the salon- they may fix them for free, especially if you're a routine customer. If the nails are lifting at all at the bottoms, you may just want to get them filled at the very least because any room or cracks that are open at the base of your nail, is a gross breeding ground for bacteria. Left alone, you may wind up with nail fungus. So, do yourself a favor and at least have them checked out by the salon. The worst thing they'll do is charge you for a fill, which is probably only $15 bucks. Nail fungus will end up costing you so much more in the end, and if it is bad enough, you can even lose your natural nail. If your nail bed is bruised, that'll take some time to heal, so you may want to consider taking the nails off anyway depending on how hard you hit your hands. Remember, vanity isn't everything! Good luck with your nails, and remember, too that when in doubt, go without. By the way, I wanted to mention that I'm a nurse, so I do know quite a bit about nail fungus. Hope this helped.
