Hello Dr.Bill and everyone,

Just came across this site and have been reading through the posts for about three hours now.

I think my test will come back negative based on all I have read but just looking for some extra assurance.

Male, 5'10, 175. I'm going to say my metabolism is slow because I really don't know what it is. I eat healthy, but don't exercise much. Average 4 cups of coffee and a good amount of water in a day. Maybe one 12oz soda a week.

I had four shots worth of whiskey in about three hours. First three mixed with water and the last was a direct shot. I got a ETG-500 72 hours later.

Drinks ended at 3:00p... got tested 72 hours later at 3:00p. I drank an insane amount of water (more than what I described as a good amount) in the first 50-60 hours. Not out of fear of the ETG, but just because I was more thirsty for some odd reason. But the day of testing I didn't drink much. I urinated four times in the morning which was weird because I normally only need to go once. Then when the next urge to go came, I was notified almost simultaneously about the test.

I have a friend who collects samples for all types of testing and she said I should be safe at 72 hours, noting I am in good shape, and a test at 48 hours would be something more to worry about.

Everything I have read up until now suggests she is right. Just curious if anyone has time to chime in with further insight.

Thanks

Thanks for your question and in reaffirmation:

I agree with your friend's assessment and your research. 4/72/0

No detectable EtG beyond 48 hours

Just wanted to say thanks for your reply. Results take 7-10 days. And no news means it will have come back negative. I'll try to remember to report back if that is the case, so that someone else who may end up in similar situation can have it to refer on.

Just a follow-up to say it seems I passed the test, given the details in the first post.

I have a friend who was positive, being tested 12 hours after four beers. However, it took two weeks for the bad news to come.

It's been 2-3 weeks since my test. Yesterday, I was given another random, so I assume the one I was worried about came back clean.

Thanks for your reassurance, DrBill.
