My chihuahua / Pomeranian mix scratches uncontrollably, to the point she crys and has opens wounds all over her head/ ears/ neck/ and eyes. I have tried children's benidril, baths / flea treatments/ wrapping her feet up. Nothing works.

My next guess would be mange. For that, you are going to have to go to the vet and have her skin scraped. Mange are tiny little mites that live in the hair follicle. They make the animal absolutely miserable and they will end up itching themselves raw. It is most common to see the excessive itching on the head, neck and ears area. Demodex mange is not contagious to people, but sarcoptes is. And for your own sake, and the dogs, you need to go to the vet and see why she is so itchy.

There are home remedies for demodex mange, but from experience, the only way to treat the mange from within with an oral medication.
