I own a craftsman self propelled push mower that the front wheels kept stripping so I asked someone to remove the self propelled option. I wanted them to remove the current front wheels and replace with standard wheels instead they just stripped the gears off both wheels so they would spin but the mower is still difficult to push. Can I remove the front wheels and replace them with just standard wheels? I just want those clunky wheels gone if I have to replace the entire shaft that is fine there has got to be a way to do this but no one seems to know for sure... PLEASE HELP

If the gears on the transaxle shaft were not removed, then take them off. May just be the weight of the transaxle that causes your woes, also.
