Yes there is a chance you could be pregnant if you had unprotected sex, so go and take the morning after pill if you're worried. You can get it from Boots or any pharmacy, you just have to ask them. You may want to get an STI test as well.

Don't worry though, you're probably not pregnant and don't have any STIs, but it's better to be safe than sorry...

First you don't know when they had sex, if it was today, yes the morning after pill is a good idea. If it was last week, that is too late.

Next, "don't worry"? Why should they not worry, they can get pregnant from 1 min or 2 min of sex. So yes she needs to worry

Fair enough - I only say 'don't worry' more for comfort and encouragement rather than to say 'don't think about it' - of course she might be pregnant from any length of unprotected sex (hence my comment, "yes there is a chance you could be pregnant if you had unprotected sex").

From personal experience and from having had friends with the same problem, it's better to get the problem sorted out rather than sit there worrying about what might/might not be the case.

If she had sex up to 3 days ago she can still take the morning after pill, if longer, take a pregnancy test when your next period is due and/or go and see the doctor.

I get more and more appalled at the lack of understanding displayed about the reproductive process. ANY time you have penile insertion there is the risk of pregnancy. Even if the insertion lasted only a few seconds. Twenty minutes is more than enough time for some sperm to find its way in.

Hopefully, you aren't. You won't know until you have missed your period for a couple of weeks and can take a test.

I would suggest that you use that time to educate yourself about the reproductive process. You can reduce the risks of pregnancy, but not eliminate them.
