I have a 4 1/2 yr old miniature dachshund who has been trained to potty pads due to when I bought her she was 6 weeks old and so tiny (she was the runt) she got lost in the snow so I trained her to pads in the garage - I lived in a condo. No problems. The only other animal she has been around was my cat - no other dogs. Now the problem is that I have moved to the country, live in a house with 2 other dogs and 2 other cats - Layla now pees in the house, pads are down and sometimes she uses them but most of the time she does not. She also poops sometimes right off the pads. I have tried putting her outside to do her business - does not work - she will pee outside sometimes, but still pees in the house. We are getting ready to move into a house with brand new carpet - what can I do - short of shooting her - just kidding! Desperate for help, please. Thanks

The first thing to decide is if it is a medical issue such as a urinary tract infection.
If you get the all clear form her vet, then it is going to be a retraining issue.
Personally I have never really gotten pads, teaching them to do their business indoors and on something soft seems counterproductive.
But if she has gone this long and had no problems I would rule out the medical first.
