I had been dating a guy for eight months. He says he has commitment issues he's 45 and I'm 26. We had a good relationship but he broke up with me because he said we were at a point where we needed to move forward or break up. He claimed he didn't want to, but he did. I pleaded with him and finally he was like let's take a month off if it's meant to be then we will be together. After a month lets reevaluate where we are. That evening I joined a dating site and saw he had already been a member of it, so whatever. Well he figured out I was on the site as well. He sends me a message on the site I didn't respond to. Then texts my phone saying are you doing OK? I didn't respond, but it's like you don't want me so why does it even matter. Why do men do this? I just want to move on?

Then move on, he has. He broke up with you and you begged so he said, OK a month break. The man has moved on.

I think perhaps he just felt guilty when knew that you found out he is a member in dating site. This could be

So, you should continue with your good job... show your pride and dignity. Furthermore, though age is not a problem, however, why should you get an old jerk while you could get a better young jerk out there ;)
