Clutch pedal not working properly. Right when it happened, I noticed a 5" [7" including the hooks at the ends] spring on the ground. According to my user's manual [p.34], I suspect it is key no. 55, part no. 105709X, clutch return spring..

My reason: when I put my boot BEHIND the pedal & pull it towards me, the drive engages and off I go.

Unfortunately, the diagram on p.34 doesn't show where BOTH hooks are to be attached! OR what I have to take apart to get to it.

Hi,
There are two places in the frames where thry have been put. What you generally find is two holes side-by-side, one is round and the other is a slot. They are on the front and the right side of the frame based on the design. Looking at the drawing, it appears the other end attaches to the bolt(#50) holding the idler(#47)
Peace,
Clarke
