I am a natural dirty dishwater brown with gray and normally color my hair with a "light reddish blonde" tint that actually always came out strawberry blonde for me. Well last night I decided to try "brilliant Copper" since my hair always came out so much lighter than advertised. Well needless to say I am currently FIRE RED Lucy style and it does NOT look good. What can I use to lessen this Carrot Top of mine? I have to go back to work Tuesday (in a hospital setting no less) and this will not do. Also, my hair is very fine and thin and takes color extremely faster than the directions say on the box. Thank you in advance for any sound advise I can get for a home remedy.

Red tint is always the fastest to fade, so I would say after ten washings the colour should become much lighter. Trying to correct the situation is difficult and damaging.
