My husband was given one year of parole and he has completed more than half and his po told him that he has already asked for early release so that he can come home,we where told on average it can take 2-3 weeks, that was almost 6 weeks ago.please I need help with this his po yells at him if either I or him calls to find out what's going on.he just keeps saying be patient.so I need to know how long should it take to get approval.he says all we are waiting on is one more signature

Are you positive that the PO has given his "blessing"/recommendation for early release? If so, then consider writing a letter to the Judge or Magistrate who is to sign off on the early release.

So when he goes and see's the parole officer and asks about it, what does he say ?

I guess if I understand it correctly, he is on parole, and you want him "home" so why is he not home if he is already out on parole, if this is in another state, he could have asked for a transfer as soon as he got out.

But it is not uncommon also for the parole board just to say NO. Also in some states parole boards only meet once a month, ( for a few days each month but at one date)

Yes parole officer has gave his recommendation and so has his boss.he keeps being told to be patient just waiting on one more signature and he is in Illinois and home is in Georgia,we requested an interstate transfere months ago.also this case is 14 years old he was extradited from ga. judge gave time served because of time served in ga. 7 1/2 years ago.they actually gave him extra time served and still gave him a year of parole,on a five year sentence,he went through what they call a "revolving door",he spent less than 24 hrs in prison.thanks for any help.
