I have a 5 year old little girl. Her biological father has been in her life maybe a total of 5 MONTHS. She has a legal father as well. Which has brought me to ask this, I want to take her biological father for child support because he A has never been there for her and B because he decides to hop in and out of her life when I ask him to get things she needs. The problem of that is, Her legal father is on the birth certificate and now lives in a totally different state. How do I get the papers that I need for him to sign off the BC and for her biological father to be put on it? So that way I can take the real father to court so my daughter can get what she deserves.
Thanks

Christine

First, if there is a legal father he is responsible for support so why not go after him?
Second, ANY question on law needs to include your general locale as laws vary by area.

There MIGHT be a possibility of changing the legal father, but we don't know since we don't know the applicable laws.
