My kitty is an older cat she is 12 years old. Who has a cut on the top of her paw, right between her two middle toes. We have been to the vet 5 times and it’s not healing. The vet found a cist under the scab and drained it. He then gave her a prescription for anti-bionics for the duration of two weeks. That two weeks is up and the vet gave us a prescription for an anti-septic spray. She has been getting the spray for a little over two weeks but the cut is still there. It doesn’t look infected but its still oozing a clear liquid.. I am worried and wondering if the vet is handling this right. I am scared and feel like the cut will never heal.   :(

There is only so much that the vet can do, it's mostly down to how fast your cat heals naturally. It wouldn't be a bad idea to keep your cat indoors for a couple of weeks - that should limit the chances of your cat walking through anything that could reinfect the wound.

Sadly, streets and parks in the modern age are frequently strewn with broken glass, chemicals, and rotting garbage - it's a dangerous world for any animal that doesn't wear shoes (I guess that just leaves people and horses).
