I'm 21. My last period started on March 22nd and ended on March 26th- it was normal. On March 27th, I had unprotected sex which ultimately ended with my boyfriend ejaculating inside of me (yes, I know a rather lousy form of BC). My period was supposed to start on April 23rd, but I never got it. On April 29th, I started having brown discharge, which appeared only when wiping. The next day, April 30th, I went to take a pregnancy test at a local clinic; the test came back negative. However, I have still (it is now May 6th) been experiencing the brown discharge when wiping. A few times it has been a dark red and other times it's very faint. There are also sometimes blood clots, too. My periods have been rather irregular for about 10 years, but they did get regular within the past few months (after being on birth control for 4 months). I have no symptoms of early pregnancy- no nausea, no breast tenderness, NOTHING.

I'm not exactly sure when I ovulated, but during the week of April 14th -23rd, I was under a lot of stress, but since then my stress level has decreased tremendously.

Could the brown discharge I'm experiencing be an irregular period? Or implantation bleeding?
