I am the mother of a 15 year old who is expecting a baby with a 14 year old. My son has been raised by a single mom, me who has raised him with the knowledge that daddy is important and that he will never be a dad who does not hold up to his responsibility. His girlfriend has been raised by her grandmother, who has never worked and has lived on state assistance her entire life first through her children and then by taking custody of her grandchildren. I take pride in working and raising my 4 boys without state assistance and without assistance from their father. My son and girlfriend have come to me to ask if I would let them raise the baby under my roof so as to not have the child on state welfare and to help build her into a mom... who finishes school and works. Grandma is sooooo not happy to lose the possibility of an extension to her benefits. I want to help but am not sure legally what is allowed for a 14 year old who has a baby. Can you help

This does help. Just stressful I'd really like to help her break her family's cycle of babies not being raised by their mother and from what the girl tells me her grandmother fully intends to take over this baby. Just very sad.
