Problem #1) Yea my computer is and old piece of junk can't remember what the specs are atm, but I'm runniing Windows 2000 on it and I'v noticed the other day that my add/remove programs is missing. I ran a search and found nothing. How can I get it back (other then using the CD because I don't have one, nor can I afford one atm either.)

Problem #2) Today... er... rather yesterday I lost connection to the internet now the computer tells me that the modem is working properly, it just can't find it for some unknown reason. What do I do to get it to detect it?

Problem #3) Today... yes today... (same computer) my computer decides to remove the printer I don't know why but again it tells me that the priter is there and working propery, but once again it is not there and I am guessin not properly connected. What do I do for that problem.

Oh Printer is usb and the internet is on adsl

I would first think that a virus is the culprit but if you can't get to the internet it makes things difficult. In this case, I would reset the adsl modem by simply turning it off or unplugging the power for 30 seconds, shutdown and restart the PC and then replug the modem and try to connect to the internet. If this works, then go to www.trendmicro.com and run their free online virus scan. It is one of the best virus removers available.

So I have to take it to someone who could fix the computer have some interal probs too, something about conflicting issues. Anyway, I'll have to check on that virus protector you said. Thanks for the help too :D

Hmm... don't let someone charge you a ton of money to reinstall windows... you can do that yourself.

Hi,
If your relative could get you a copy of Windows 2000 install Cd's, it would really help you a lot.
Best wishes,
fredg
