Did she order some blood work to be done? She would be checking for toxoplasmosis, which can be found in some cat feces. This is why it is recommended for pregnant women who have cats to have others change the litter. It is also why it is recommended to wear gloves while gardening in case neighbour cats have been in your garden.

A simple blood test will usually let them know if you have been infected and this is a possible cause of the bright bowel showing up. There are other possible reasons for it as well. Did your doctor discuss anything else with you?

Did your doctor say anything about doing another ultrasound to confirm? How far along are you in your pregnancy?
