I'm 17 year old girl and get headachs everyday. Sometimes I can't stand to have the lights on or enyone talking to me. They seem to get worse if I'm angry, or sad, or just stressed. I'm an ap student and a jr in high school and have nightmares for weeks before finals or big tests. I also have problems eating sometimes I get sick to my stomic after just a few bites. School is hard and living in my house is never easy. Is there eny thing I can do to get over the headachs, night terrors, and stumic problems.

Renae:
Clearly the stress of school is impacting your health. Stress can cause headaches in anyone. If you have continuous stomach problems you might want to get checked for stomach ulcers (which are uncommon in someone in high school) but I would rule it out. A common reason in adults for headaches is high blood pressure (again uncommon in younger people) but should also be ruled out. Finally, diabetes can be another serious underlying issue. I hope you don't get scared and the best advice is for you to go see your doctor and explain your symptoms and s/he will advice you.

In the meantime, try to engage in meditation, yoga, other relaxing and de-stressing habits. I would highly encourage physical activity that is not competitive in any way. And remember, part of growing up is to deal with stressful situation so use your current situation as a guide to help you learn lifelong lessons.

Good luck and hope you get better. Let us know how things change.
