Mower will start after prime but only run for a few seconds. Gas is clean and lines are clear. Any suggestions?

Lines may be clear but the carb is not. Take it apart and flush it with carb cleaner. If you want an easier but less effective approach dump the gas and pump staright carb cleaner through the carb for about 50 pumps.
