My last period was late and light, but a little heavier towards the end. I took two home pregnancy tests and they were both negative so I began taking my pill again. I am now experiencing lots of pregnancy symptoms and am worried that if I am pregnant, what affect the pill will have on the baby?
I have an appointment with a doctor next Friday but I really worried about the affect it could be having mean while.

It is possible that these pregnancy symptoms are just from the pill. When I was on the pill, I had several scares, thinking I was pregnant, because I had all the symptoms. I wasn't however, and the doctor said that it was normal to experience. Your doctor will probably give you an exam and a blood test done to check for pregnancy, since you are still on the pill.just to be sure.

Many women worry about the effects that the birth control pill may have on a growing fetus. Some women do become pregnant while on the pill. There is NO evidence to show that the pill will harm your baby in any way. Babies exposed to the pill are NOT at increased risk for developing complications or birth defects. Hope that helps ease your mind until you see the doctor.
