I'm going to try and make this as short/sweet as possible. Last night I had sex. We used a condom. He ejaculated and pulled out and then we realized the condom broke! ='( I took plan B this morning. I am very worried because last night when I went to the bathroom (before sex) I noticed I had a little bit of dry-ish stretchy mucus that came in sort of.. a clump (sorry, so gross!). Today, I did a cervical mucus check and it is more slippery, wet and stretchy. As well I'm feeling slight twinges near my ovaries which I didn't feel yesterday. Does this mean that last night when I noticed the stretchy mucus the egg from ovulation had already been released? Please give me some insight regarding how you can tell when ovulation is ABOUT to occur, when it IS occurring and when it has FINISHED. Thank you!

Regardless of when the egg is released you should know that the plan b pill works in a few ways 1. to harden the egg making in harder for sperm to enter 2. it also makes your uterus a hostile environment for the fertilized egg(if it manages to get past the 1st step) to implant.. and it is really good you took the plan b when you did the earlier the better.. Honestly no one really knows 100 % when they are ovulating but it can happen between 12-19 days after the beginning of your cycle but stretchy discharge is one of the most common signs... BUT Don't STRESS! Stress and worrying can make your brain make up symptoms (like tingly ovaries) just relax for a few weeks chances are you will get your period!
