Our home was hit by lightening and the only appliance not working after the electricity was turned back on was my washer. I removed the back and top and I'm getting 120v in the back of the machine but nothing at the start switch in the front or by the motor. The motor turns easily when I pull on the drive belt. Any suggestions are welcome. Bill

I am not familiar with that model number, but you will need to trace the circuit through the circuit board to find the fault. Sometimes they have fused resisters and fusible links. Some wires are actually fusible links that feel empty of wire when blown. You need to install a surge protector in the breaker box. Square D makes a good one for $25.00 and you just put a black wire on each terminal of a double-pole breaker (220 v) and the ground wire to the grounding bar. It's that simple. There are several makers of good surge protectors. I have never had one to fail even if lightning blows one apart it won't get through it.
