The stereo shorted out in My 1972 Chevelle and the accessory fuse blew. I replaced all fuses in the fuse box and I still don't have dash, turn signal or tail lights. When I start the car the GEN light comes on. I checked the voltage from the Alt. and it is reading 15.84 volts. I checked all the fuses with the key in accessory position and they are all getting power. I even changed the flasher in the fude box thinking that that might have been shorted out also, still no luck. Someone told me to unbolt the fuse box from the firewall and check behing it to see if anything looks like it got fried. Any suggestions out there?

I would use a Tone Generator and Inductive Amp. Hook to your taillight or turn signal flasher(1 prong connects directly to one side of the fuse)You want to find this signal.
Less than $50 for the pair. Great for tracing all phone, alarm, automotive, anything wiring. Great timesaver.
I will see if I can find an example.
I'm back,

This will work wonders, I have this, but I also have, and what I would look for and may not cost more is the toner that also has N.O. N.C. continuity tone and light, and latching NO and NC.

The basic Toner will do what you need.
