Somewhere it was mentioned to use 'burst free' washing machine hoses.
Which one do I purchase? Also, when doing the connection, should that white material that comes in a small winded spool be used? I forget the name of it... is it teflon tape?

Here's a link to check out for your "burst free " washer hose. http://www.bing.com/shopping/search?q=Burst+free+washer+hose&qpvt=Burst+free+washer+hose&FORM=HURE
Since these are hose connections you don't need to Teflon Tape the threads.
Good luck, Tom

Hi i64, notice the "burst free" hoses carry a 10 year warranty, I wouldn't expect them to last much longer than that. Good luck

Thanks, I was looking for specific one that someone had used or recommends. There are too many in the shopping results.

Kind of funny but I do what Chuck is doing. I know better but then I too have never had one burst. I do replace them every 5-10 years.
