Just wondering what is entaled with signing over rights of a child what does it cost and will support still have to be paid?

Well, who is adopting the child?

If NO ONE is, then you can't sign over rights.

And even if you COULD sign over rights, you STILL have to pay child support.

You can not just sign over rights unless this is part of an adoption proceeding ( normally for a step parent adoption)

All you have to do is not use any of your "rights" there is no legal requirement for you to call, visit or see the child. You will have to continue to pay support until an adoption is final for the signing of rights for an adoption.

Where did you get the idea you COULD sign over rights? That is just a myth as indicated in HUNDREDS of threads on this site.

So, if you want to explain the situation we may be able to give you further advice.
