My daughters dad was never there when I was pregnant nor when I gave birth! When I told him I was pregnant with his kid he denyed her and told me to leave him alone well march of this year I went and filed for a dna test the results came back positive then he wanted something to do with my daughter she is 7months old now and the only father she knows is my fiancé and the only reason he wants something to do with my daughter is cause his mom told him to grow up but can I file for abandonment?

Nope, there is no abandonment here. You might want to check out this Sticky Note:
https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/family-law/child-abandonment-read-first-364259.html which explains this in greater detail.

Did you just file for a paternity test or was that part of something else. Usually a paternity test is part of a request for custody or child support, not done just to establish paternity. So what did you actually file for.

If he wants to be a part of his daughter's life, the courts will allow it. You, of course, need to file for child support from him if you haven't already.
