newbie to site hello all, glad to find this place
need advice have 54 x 12volt dc down lights max run would be 35 meters of cable, a mix of wattages approx 1 to10 watt leds/ 9 banks of 6 leds Would I be on the right track if calculated each led approx 1.2 amps x 54lights =64.8 amps/ so main cable should be able to carry 64.8 amps would that be OK, then I would branch off main cable to each bank of lights with smaller cable can someone help D.C.

How about telling us your location and the setting of these lights?
It does matter.

What Make Model of LED's are these, to be on one switch?

Yep Hunter Valley, New South Wales, Australia.
When you say setting you mean type of location e.g. house/wharehouse or something else?

Hi stratmando
Plan is to change 240volt down lights to 12volt dc run them off PV ang battery bank remove all lights off grid power first other stuff later. Down lights are M16 120/220v transformer 12v incandesant 60w.Leds will be 10 watt,I think they are 1.2amps no dimmers normal switching in each room need to know what size cables I need for the amount of lights and distance it will be for the voltage drop and do the leds need transformers
Thanks D.C.

Can you provida a drawing that includes distances to each light?
Low Voltage drops fast.
