I can send a fax cover page (no attachment) from the MS XP Fax Console and select the recipient from the Address Book. Works great.

When I try to send from Outlook it always dials "1" before the Area Code which isn't acceptable to "some parts" of Area Code 503. Stupid phone company! OTOH, other "nearer" locations require a "1" before the 503.

I can't find a way to get around not dialing the "1" when I try sending from Outlook.

Also, I can't figure out how to add an attachment when sending from the Fax Console.

Help!

Thanks, Don

Hi, I don't know how to work with MS Outlook, but maybe I can help you with the fax attachments. The way it works for me is as follows:
Open the document you want to attach
Click PRINT and in the Printer box do not use your default printer, but select FAX. The document will get stored in your fax printer
When the Send a Fax Wizard opens, follow the steps (you should have previously gone to Fax Console and configure the fax choices and enable fax sending)
When it is ready to fax, click on PREVIEW FAX.
You will see the fax document viewer screen.
Click on the page number 1 (arrow down) and you should see your 2,3 or whatever pages.
Send the fax.

Hope this helps.

Cubiche, watch the dates on the posts you try to reply to... that question was over two years old.
